When the PR team approached me with the idea of launching a tongue-in-cheek April Fools campaign—footmade candles—I took the lead from concept to completion. I wrote the script, designed the product, and handled all filming and editing under a tight turnaround. What started as a quirky concept turned into a fun, fully-realized piece that blended creativity, humor, and fast execution.

Dancing Into Style - Zappos
I’ve always wanted to make a dance video in the spirit of the Step Up movies—and I finally got the chance. It’s nowhere near John M. Chu-level, but I had a blast putting it together. I teamed up with an incredible choreographer and an amazing cast from Magic Mike Live to bring it to life. Definitely hoping to go bigger and better on the next one.

Zappos' 20th Birthday
I’m a big fan of one-shot takes—the challenge is real, but I was ready for it. For Zappos’ 20th anniversary, we wanted to do something bold, so a single-take concept felt right. The goal was to capture the evolution of Zappos—from its early days as ShoeSite.com, through key milestones like the creation of 6pm.com, to the acquisition by Amazon. We were incredibly lucky to feature Nick Swinmurn, Zappos’ original founder, and ended the piece with a quote from the late Tony Hsieh:

It was also a blast to hide little Easter eggs throughout the piece—each one nodding to moments in Zappos history. Many of the people featured in the video are Zappos employees, both new and old, which made it feel even more personal and authentic. We wished we could’ve included more folks, but scheduling made it tricky. Still, it was an unforgettable shoot and a really special way to honor the brand’s journey.

DJ Khalid x Zappos
Ever wonder what it’s like to have DJ Khaled show up at your front door with your Zappos order and an invite to a Beyoncé concert? We hit the road with the crew, making stops in Houston, Baltimore, Portland, and the Bay Area to surprise some of his favorite fans and Zappos shoppers. From doorstep deliveries to dance-floor energy, this video is all good vibes, big smiles, and major keys. And yep—after all that, I pulled off a same-day edit to keep the magic moving.

Nike Flyease x Zappos
For this video, we set out to create another epic one-shot—this time inspired by that iconic Nike ad with the kid running. But we wanted to go bigger. The goal? Showcase the new FlyEase shoe, designed with accessibility in mind for adaptive athletes. The biggest challenge was nailing the timing—coordinating every entrance, every movement, all in one continuous take. The energy on set was amazing, and after a handful of takes (and lots of laughs), we landed the perfect shot.

Zappos 18th Birthday
Turning 18 is a big deal—it’s that awkward, exciting leap into adulthood. So when Zappos hit the big 1-8, we wanted to celebrate with a wink to all the not-so-glamorous parts of growing up. In one continuous shot (because we just can’t resist), each gift in this video represents a classic adulthood curveball—bills, chores, responsibilities… you get it. We actually created two versions—one with a guy, one with a girl—to show that no matter who you are, adulting is tough. But the message? Zappos keeps it easy.

Zappos All Hands Skit x Zizzo (Lizzo Parody)
The Zappos All Hands isn’t your typical company meeting—it’s more like Saturday Night Live with company updates. For this pre-pandemic edition, we jumped into a Lizzo-themed parody, riffing on the cultural moment with a hilarious twist. Everyone involved, from writers to actors, was a Zappos employee bringing their own flair and personality to the skit. Even our leadership team got in on the fun toward the end. This one was all about teamwork, creativity, and a whole lot of laughs—truly one of the most fun projects to put together.

21 minute video on 'How to put on Underwear'
Inspired by an overly in-depth tutorial on how to sharpen a pencil, we thought—why not take it further? So we made a 21-minute video on how to put on underwear. Yep. Our main guy, Matt, improvised the entire thing. We gave him a few topics to riff on, and then just let him run with it. The result? Absurd, unexpected, and totally Zappos. (P.S. Please ignore the chalkboard quote—we filmed this way, way, way before we knew. 😬)
